If you’re trying to conceive (ttc) and want a little herbal boost to your routine, then lavender hot chocolate is an excellent place to start. A little kitchen witchery goes a long way in this short-and-sweet recipe.

What you need:
Chocolate syrup or cocoa mix
Milk
Dried lavender buds
Tea strainer
Microwave safe mug

Microwave a mug of milk until it just begins to bubble — approximately 1.30 minutes. The milk you choose is up to you. In general, cow’s milk is associated with domestic protection and nurturing, which is ideal in fertility-related magic. Almond, soy and coconut milk all possess similar magical properties.

Stuff a tea strainer with enough lavender buds to fill it. Allow it to steep in the hot milk for approximately two minutes. Stir in the chocolate syrup or cocoa mix after removing the steeper.

Top with whipped cream or marshmallow fluff and garnish with a dash of dried lavender. The result is a creamy, chocolaty drink with a hint of floral lavender — that is also cooling to the mouth as you drink it! Drink this fertility-inspiring drink prior to any spells or meditations related to starting a family or trying to conceive.
